This bodypaint tells the story of my model: Janiet. She lost her father far too early. The butterfly symbolizes his presence; how beautiful would it be if he would return for one night to embrace his daughter in the form of this delicate apparition. The flower symbolizes her heart, which still holds its warmth. As morning approaches, the butterfly fades and travels back through the gate of her heart to where it needs to be. The transparent heart on her back symbolizes this gate, in the blue tones of the sky, surrounded by dreamy, soft lines that seem to dance out and around the heart and wrap both the heart and her body like an embrace, so she will always feel his love.
