Day Dreaming at Night
Just as expected, a storm takes flight,
Swirling wildly around my dreams, for just one night
The thunder whispers through silver skies,
And my anxiety grows behind closed eyes.
My eyes—those doors to all within,
Where every joy and ache has been.
Behind them though, my secrets burn,
In sleep, the hidden truths return.
But morning finds my skin aglow,
With golden light in gentle flow.
The night is gone, its tales left behind
A brand new day, this day will be kind.
